FBO

Name
Farnborough Airport Ltd — sole operator-run FBO, single private terminal

Notes

UK Border Force on site during operating hours, by advance arrangement through the handler; clearance happens in the private terminal, typically in minutes.

Farnborough is London’s purpose-built business aviation airport — one owner, one private terminal, no airline traffic, and a service standard the industry’s own surveys keep ranking first. It is where most of our London flying begins: eleven of our published lanes start here.

Chartering from Farnborough

Every movement is prior-permission, arranged with the airport itself, and the operating hours are fixed by planning law rather than staffing — 07:00 to 22:00 on weekdays, 08:00 to 20:00 at weekends, with no extensions available to anyone. That last fact matters more than it looks: a Sunday-evening return from Ibiza is planned against a hard 20:00 door, and weekend capacity runs close to its cap in summer, so we book those slots early rather than hope. Aircraft up to BBJ size are accepted; nothing larger operates here outside the airshow.

The lanes tell the price story: Paris and Geneva from €8,300 all-in on a light jet, Nice and St. Moritz from €13,000 on a super light, through to Dubai from €77,000 on a super midsize.

Facilities

One terminal, operator-run handling, Border Force clearance in the lounge, and your car driven to the aircraft steps. The drive from central London runs about an hour — the price of an airport built where noise rules could be generous to business aviation rather than airlines.

Frequently asked questions

Which London airport is best for private jets?

Farnborough for most missions — a dedicated business aviation field with a single private terminal. Biggin Hill and Luton compete on geography for east and north London.

How much is a private jet from Farnborough?

From €8,300 all-in to Paris or Geneva on a light jet, €13,000 to Nice, €15,500 to Ibiza — indicative from-prices on our block-hour model.

Can you depart Farnborough late at night?

No — the airport closes at 22:00 on weekdays and 20:00 at weekends, fixed by planning permission with no extensions. Late departures use an alternative London field, which we arrange when the schedule demands it.
