Lisbon airports — LIS · LPPT

Lisbon Humberto Delgado.

Lisbon Humberto Delgado sits 7 km from the centre of the city it serves, and it is one of Europe’s most congested airports, single-runway and fully coordinated. Flying private into Lisbon works well, but it is won in the planning: slots, parking and permits arranged early, not improvised.

Chartering from Lisbon

Slots are mandatory for every flight, business aviation included, and parking must be secured with them. The working guidance is around ten days’ notice, and we treat that as a deadline rather than a suggestion. Charter flights also need an ANAC landing permit, roughly four business days’ lead. The single 3,705 m runway takes anything in the charter fleet up to BBJ class; what it does not forgive is congestion, so slot times are held firmly.

Our published lane: London–Lisbon from €16,500, 2h18.

Parking and the night quota

Parking is the binding constraint. GA parking is normally limited to about three hours without prior approval and long-term parking is effectively unavailable, so drop-and-go with repositioning is the default plan; Cascais, 25 km west, absorbs light and midsize jets when Lisbon cannot. Nights are quota-restricted between 00:00 and 06:00, capped at 26 movements per night, and a stricter regime with a hard 01:00–05:00 ban has been approved and is being phased in. We do not plan late-night arrivals here without a confirmed night slot.

On the ground

Two FBOs (Sky Valet, open around the clock, and ExecuJet) operate from the executive area on the south side, away from the passenger terminals. Portugal is Schengen; non-Schengen customs and immigration clear through main-terminal facilities, coordinated by the FBO so passengers are escorted rather than queuing. The drive into central Lisbon runs 15–20 minutes.

Questions.

How much is a private jet from London to Lisbon?

From €16,500 all-in, flight time around 2h18, an indicative from-price on our block-hour model.

How much notice does Lisbon need?

Around ten days for slot and parking, four business days for the charter permit. Shorter is often workable with drop-and-go parking and flexible timing, but ten days keeps every option open.

Can you fly into Lisbon late at night?

Only inside the night quota, which requires a confirmed night slot with noise data. The rules are tightening; we confirm the current regime with the handler for each trip.
