Antwerp International.
Antwerp Deurne is the city airport done properly — six kilometres from the diamond district, ten to fifteen minutes from a meeting, and a field whose 1,510 m runway quietly decides the aircraft list for you. It is a turboprop, light and midsize jet airport with full customs on-field, and it closes at 23:00 with no exception a charter can buy.
Chartering to and from Antwerp
The runway numbers are the operational reality: 1,510 m of take-off run and just 1,366 m of landing distance on runway 11. That is comfortable for turboprops, light jets and much of the midsize fleet, and it effectively excludes heavy jets; wingspans over 29 m are limited to two taxiways, which tells the same story from the ground. We quote Antwerp with the right aircraft first time — London–Antwerp from €8,300, 0h53 on a light jet is the benchmark lane.
The 23:00 door
The July 2024 environmental permit fixed operating hours at 07:00–23:00 local and banned night flights outright. A late opening to around 00:30 exists on paper, but only for delayed scheduled arrivals and medical flights, at €2,000 per landing — a business charter cannot buy one at any price. So we plan evening arrivals with margin before 23:00; fuelling wraps up around 22:00, and late turnarounds are sequenced against both doors. The field is not slot-coordinated, which keeps short-notice flying simple. Handling is compulsory for anything of 3 tonnes MTOW or more — we book it as part of the charter.
Access and onward
The airport sits six kilometres southeast of the centre, a 10–15 minute drive to the old town or the port offices. Belgium is Schengen, and customs and immigration are available on-field throughout operating hours, with general aviation clearing through the Business Terminal — non-Schengen arrivals are handled on site rather than routed elsewhere.
Questions.
How much is a private jet from London to Antwerp?
From €8,300 all-in on a light jet, 53 minutes in the air — an indicative from-price on our block-hour model.
Can heavy jets land at Antwerp?
Effectively no. Landing distance on runway 11 is 1,366 m and wingspans over 29 m face taxiway restrictions. For heavier aircraft we quote a nearby alternative and arrange the drive.
Can we depart after 23:00?
No. The night ban is fixed by environmental permit, and the paid extension applies only to delayed scheduled arrivals and medical flights. We plan wheels-up with margin inside the 07:00–23:00 window.
