Notes
Full international port of entry — customs and immigration for private flights clear at the FBO terminal during operating hours; Mexican AFAC paperwork is coordinated by the local handler as part of the trip.
Los Cabos is the jet gateway to the Baja resort corridor — a dedicated private terminal at the north end of the field, a 3,000-metre runway that takes any cabin class, and sixty-plus parking stands that nevertheless manage to sell out every Christmas.
Chartering to Los Cabos
Operations are straightforward by Mexican-airport standards: no slot regime, entry formalities handled at the FBO, and the paperwork — Mexico wants its forms — absorbed by the local handler as part of how we run the trip. The two planning realities are hours and holidays. The FBO’s core day runs to 18:00 with extensions on request rather than guaranteed, so late arrivals are pre-coordinated; and from mid-December to early January the ramp reaches genuine saturation, when parking confirmation before dispatch is the difference between staying and repositioning. Our Los Angeles to Los Cabos lane runs from €16,500 all-in on a super light, about two and a quarter hours.
Facilities
The private terminal keeps arrivals entirely apart from the airline concourses, with lounge clearance and ramp transfer to the car. San José del Cabo and the Corridor resorts are 15 to 35 minutes; Cabo San Lucas proper is the better part of an hour along the Transpeninsular — worth knowing when choosing between an early slot and a sunset landing.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a private jet from Los Angeles to Cabo?
From €16,500 all-in on a super light jet — an indicative from-price on our block-hour model, Mexican handling included in how we quote.
Which airport is best for Cabo San Lucas?
Los Cabos (SJD). The small Cabo San Lucas strip is closer but short and limited; jets use SJD and drive the corridor.
Is Los Cabos difficult in the holidays?
Peak weeks saturate the ramp. We confirm parking before the aircraft launches — booked early, the season is painless.
