Düsseldorf.
Düsseldorf is Germany’s third-busiest passenger airport, but business aviation barely touches the airline side of it. Around 12,000 private movements a year run through a dedicated Executive Terminal on the west of the field, with its own security and passport control, and a 3,000 m runway that takes everything up to BBJ and ACJ types without performance restriction.
Chartering from Düsseldorf
The paperwork is the story here. EDDL is fully slot-coordinated — even an ad-hoc charter needs an airport slot from the German coordinator, so a short-notice peak-time request is filed early through the handler. The night regime is strict: no take-offs after 22:00 and no landings after 23:00, with only narrow exception classes in the marginal hours. We plan movements inside 06:00–22:00 and target evening arrivals at 22:30 or earlier to keep margin.
Our published lane from the city is Düsseldorf–Nice from €8,500, 1h28 on a light jet — the Rhineland’s fastest way to the Côte d’Azur.
The Executive Terminal
Jet Aviation operates the 800 m² GA terminal — the only FBO on the field with executive lounges, a conference room and on-site customs and immigration, so extra-Schengen arrivals clear at the terminal without entering the main building. Handling is IS-BAH Stage 2 certified, passengers can be airside within minutes, and central Düsseldorf is 7 km away — fifteen to twenty minutes by car.
Questions.
How much is a private jet from Düsseldorf?
From €8,500 all-in to Nice on a light jet, flight time 1h28 — an indicative from-price on our block-hour model. Other destinations are quoted the same way.
Do I need a slot to fly privately from Düsseldorf?
Yes. EDDL is fully coordinated, so every IFR movement — business aviation included — needs an airport slot. We file it as part of the booking; routine with a little notice, tighter at peak times.
Can you depart Düsseldorf at night?
No. Take-offs are prohibited from 22:00 and landings from 23:00, and the exceptions are narrow. When a schedule genuinely needs a late departure, we plan it from an alternative field from the outset.
