Figari Sud-Corse.
Figari Sud-Corse is southern Corsica’s airport — twenty-five minutes from Bonifacio, thirty from Porto-Vecchio — and in July and August the most restrictive field on the island. Overnight parking is effectively unavailable, slots are coordinated, and quick turnarounds are the norm. None of this is a problem if the flight is planned as a drop-and-go from the start. That is how we plan it.
Chartering to Figari
In summer the airport is slot-coordinated through COHOR, and aircraft parking needs separate prior permission at least 24 hours ahead. At peak, roughly one-hour quick turns are typically the longest approvals granted — so the aircraft drops you, repositions to Ajaccio or the mainland, and returns for the pickup. We confirm slot, parking permission and handling as one package, because a schedule change risks losing all three at once. Our published lane is Paris–Figari from €13,000, 1h38, all-in on our block-hour model.
The summer operational reality
The single 2,480 m runway takes super-midsize and most heavy jets comfortably, but there is no parallel taxiway — aircraft backtrack on the runway, which slows the flow at wave peaks. The airport’s own safety publication notes strong west and north-west winds accelerating through the Funtanella and Bacinu passes, producing crosswind shear on final to both runway ends; summer-afternoon arrivals can be bumpy. There are no night movements — no slots are allocated overnight — so every itinerary is built inside daytime hours, and the small terminal saturates around the July and August wave peaks.
Access and onward travel
Bonifacio is 20 km — about 25 minutes; Porto-Vecchio 25 km — about 30. Figari is a French airport of entry inside Schengen: non-Schengen arrivals clear customs and immigration in the main terminal on prior notification, with crew and passenger details submitted in advance through the handler. Handling is by Scala Handling and the chamber of commerce’s GA service — no branded FBO chain, and it works.
Questions.
How much is a private jet from Paris to Figari?
From €13,000 all-in for the 1h38 flight — an indicative from-price on our block-hour model, firmed against your date and aircraft.
Can the aircraft wait at Figari?
In summer, effectively no — approvals typically cover a quick turnaround only. The aircraft repositions, usually to Ajaccio, and returns for the pickup; that repositioning is built into the quote before you sign.
