London City.
London City is the only airport actually in London (Royal Docks, ten minutes from Canary Wharf) and the most restrictive field we book. A 5.5-degree steep approach, an approved-aircraft register and a statutory weekend closure make it a specialist’s airport: unbeatable when it fits, unusable when it does not.
Chartering into London City
Access is triple-gated. The airport is slot-coordinated; the aircraft type must be certified for the steep approach, nearly double a standard glideslope with dedicated simulator training for crews; and the specific operator must hold its own approval on the airport’s register. That register is broader than its reputation suggests: the Pilatus PC-24, Citation CJ3+ and CJ4, Phenom 300, Challenger 350 and Falcon 8X all appear, and Dassault’s Falcon 6X was cleared in October 2025. But an approved type with a non-approved operator cannot come, so we match both halves before quoting. The sole FBO is the airport-operated Private Jet Centre, which arranges slots and approvals and clears immigration airside. Our published lane is Geneva from €8,300 all-in.
The weekend gap
The airfield runs 06:30–22:00 on weekdays, then closes from Saturday lunchtime until Sunday 12:30, a 24-hour quiet period with no exceptions. Saturday-evening and Sunday-morning departures simply move to Biggin Hill, Luton or Farnborough. The 1,508 m runway and small Jet Centre ramp add two more constraints: payload limits on longer sectors, and little overnight parking. Aircraft commonly drop passengers and reposition to Biggin Hill or Stansted.
Access
This is the airport’s entire argument: about 5 km to Canary Wharf, 10–15 minutes by car, and the DLR reaches Bank in around 22 minutes. On weekdays the Private Jet Centre opens at 05:30 for early starts.

Can any private jet land at London City?
No. Both the aircraft type and the operator flying it must appear on the airport’s approved register. We hold current knowledge of which pairings work and quote accordingly.
Is London City open at weekends?
Partly. Saturday until about 12:30, Sunday from 12:30. The gap between is absolute, so weekend itineraries often split across City and another London field.
