Olbia is the front door of the Costa Smeralda, and its private terminal, Eccelsa Aviation (heir to the Aga Khan’s original Alisarda), advertises the walk from car to aircraft as twenty-one steps. In August, those steps are among the busiest in Europe: over a hundred large jets can sit on the ramp at the season’s peak.
Chartering to Olbia
Summer is fully slot-coordinated and every business flight needs the airport operator’s authorisation on top, effectively a parking permission that we arrange with the booking. Four flights in five here happen between late May and early October, so the difference between a smooth August pickup and an improvised one is simply lead time; when the ramp is full, aircraft drop and reposition, and we quote that plainly.
