Private jet to Monaco.
There is no airport in Monaco. Private arrivals land at Nice and take a helicopter over the water, and the transfer takes about seven minutes.
How the arrival actually works
You land at Nice Cote d’Azur, clear through the business aviation terminal, and walk to the helicopter. The flight to the heliport at Fontvieille takes about seven minutes along the coast.
We arrange both legs as one itinerary, which means the helicopter is held against the jet’s actual arrival rather than a time booked hopefully in advance. Most of the trouble on this route comes from the two being booked separately.
The whole aircraft, not a seat
Shuttle operators sell individual seats on the Nice to Monaco leg and that is a reasonable product if you are travelling alone and flexible on timing. We do not sell seats. We arrange the whole helicopter, timed to your jet, which costs more and removes the waiting.
Grand Prix and Yacht Show
Two weeks a year the principality absorbs more private traffic than it comfortably holds. Grand Prix weekend in May and the Yacht Show in September both push Nice parking and heliport slots to their limits. We book those months ahead.
Which aircraft.
The jet choice is really a Nice choice, and Nice takes everything. A light jet covers London comfortably. What matters more than the aircraft is whether the helicopter leg is booked against the same timeline, because a jet that lands late and a helicopter slot that has passed is the failure mode on this route.
