At a glance
London to St. Moritz by private jet is about an hour and thirty-six minutes, Farnborough to Samedan, from around €13,000 one-way for the whole aircraft. Samedan, the Engadin airport that serves St. Moritz, is the highest in Europe — daylight-only, weather-restricted, and limited to light and super-light jets, most often the Pilatus PC-24 built nearby, or an Embraer Phenom 300 / 300E or Cessna Citation CJ4. When weather closes the field, Zurich plus a helicopter or road transfer is the all-weather alternative. The price is indicative and covers the aircraft, not a seat, itemised before you commit.

About this route
London to St. Moritz in 1h 36m.
London to St. Moritz is one of the more particular flights we arrange, and one of the more rewarding. We charter Farnborough to Samedan in about an hour and thirty-six minutes, landing at the Engadin aerodrome a few kilometres from the resort, rather than routing you the long way round through a lowland hub. It is the most direct way into the valley, and in the right aircraft it is straightforward — but the airport sets terms that are worth understanding before you fly.
Samedan, the Engadin airport that serves St. Moritz, sits at around 5,600 feet, which makes it the highest airport in Europe. The single runway is roughly 1,800 metres, ringed by mountains, with steep approach and departure procedures that crews fly only after specific qualification. It is daylight-only, restricted to good visual conditions, and operates under a curfew, so weather and timing matter more here than at almost anywhere else we fly. None of this is a problem with the right aircraft and an operator current on the field — it simply rules out the largest cabins.
That altitude and runway length cap the route to light and super-light jets. The aircraft we most often place is the Pilatus PC-24, built a short distance away in Stans and effectively designed for fields like this one — short, high, and demanding. The Embraer Phenom 300 and 300E and the Cessna Citation CJ4 also fit and fly the route well. Heavy and ultra-long-range jets are generally excluded; their performance and approval requirements do not match Samedan, and we would not propose one here.
Weather sometimes has the final word. When Samedan is closed by conditions, curfew or daylight — which does happen in winter — the dependable alternative is Zurich, an all-weather airport an easy reach from the Engadin. From there it is roughly twenty-five minutes by helicopter or about two hours by road into St. Moritz, and we arrange either to meet the aircraft. We will be candid at the quote stage about how the forecast looks and whether a Zurich plan is the wiser booking.
The route runs hardest in ski season, from December into March, with the peak weeks around Christmas, New Year and the February half-term filling early. Samedan’s daylight and weather limits make those weeks tighter still, so the earlier you give us dates, the more we can hold the right aircraft and a workable slot. Summer in the Engadin is quieter and often the easier flying.
Charter from London to St. Moritz starts from around €13,000 one-way, indicative, for the whole aircraft rather than a seat. The figure moves with how far the aircraft must reposition to reach you, Samedan or Zurich handling, catering, passenger taxes and lead time, and we set every line out before you commit. We arrange the flight; we do not operate the aircraft, so we are free to put you on the type that genuinely suits the field. Tell us your dates and party size and an advisor replies with a precise, itemised quote, usually within a few hours.

About an hour and thirty-six minutes, Farnborough to Samedan. Landing at the Engadin airport rather than a distant hub means the door-to-resort time is far shorter than routing through a lowland gateway.
St. Moritz is served by Samedan, the Engadin aerodrome about five kilometres from the resort. At roughly 5,600 feet it is the highest airport in Europe, with a single runway near 1,800 metres, qualification-only mountain approaches, daylight-only operation and a curfew. Those limits are why the route is restricted to smaller jets.
The altitude and runway length cap the route to light and super-light jets. We most often place the Pilatus PC-24, built nearby and suited to high, short fields; the Embraer Phenom 300 / 300E and Cessna Citation CJ4 also fit. Heavy and ultra-long-range cabins are generally excluded.
Samedan is daylight-only and weather-restricted, so closures do happen in winter. The dependable alternative is Zurich, an all-weather airport about twenty-five minutes by helicopter or two hours by road from St. Moritz. We arrange either transfer and will be candid at the quote stage about whether a Zurich plan is the wiser booking.
