Cannes has its own airport and it will not take every aircraft. Knowing which of the two you are landing at changes the trip more than the aircraft does.
Mandelieu or Nice
Cannes Mandelieu is a short walk from the Croisette by Riviera standards and takes smaller aircraft only. The runway is the constraint and it is not negotiable.
Nice is twenty-five minutes away by car in ordinary traffic and considerably longer during the festival. It takes everything. Most groups of eight or more end up there.
The festival fortnight
The film festival in May is the busiest two weeks on this part of the coast, and it moves both airports at once. Mandelieu parking goes first, then Nice business aviation parking, then the helicopter slots between them. We plan festival trips weeks ahead rather than days, and we are candid when a same-week request is not going to work at Mandelieu.
Outside May the coast is straightforward until the school holidays start.
Which aircraft.
Mandelieu suits light jets and turboprops, and the aircraft has to be matched to the runway rather than to the passenger count. When the group is too large for what Mandelieu accepts, we land at Nice and drive, or fly the last leg by helicopter. We would rather tell you that at the quote stage than at the airport.

Smaller aircraft can. Cannes Mandelieu takes light jets and turboprops, and the runway sets the limit. Larger aircraft use Nice, which is about twenty-five minutes away by car.
How long is the flight from London to Cannes by private jet?
About one hour forty to Mandelieu or Nice. The difference between the two is on the ground, not in the air.
Should we fly into Cannes or Nice for the film festival?
It depends on the aircraft and how early you ask. Mandelieu parking fills first during the festival. If the group needs a midsize or larger, the decision is made for you and it is Nice.
Can we take a helicopter from Nice to Cannes?
Yes, and it is around ten minutes. We coordinate it with the jet so the timings line up rather than leaving you to book it separately.
How far ahead should we book for the festival?
Several weeks. The festival is the one period on this coast where late requests genuinely fail, and Mandelieu is where they fail first.
