At a glance
London to Cannes by private jet takes about an hour and forty minutes, Farnborough to Cannes-Mandelieu, from around €13,000 one-way for the whole aircraft. For the 559-nautical-mile leg a super-light jet is right-sized — most often a Pilatus PC-24, an Embraer Phenom 300 / 300E or a Cessna Citation CJ3+. Cannes-Mandelieu puts you ten to fifteen minutes from the Croisette, which is the point of it, but it is an airport with firm rules: a 35-tonne weight limit on jets, fixed seasonal operating hours with no extensions, and slot coordination through the summer. We plan the flight around all three, and when an evening runs past closing time we route the arrival into Nice instead. Tell us your dates and party size and an advisor replies with a precise quote, usually within a few hours.

The route
About this route
London to Cannes in 1h 42m.
Cannes-Mandelieu is France’s second-busiest business aviation airport for a simple reason: it lands you ten to fifteen minutes from the Croisette, with Monaco about an hour by road or fifteen minutes by helicopter transfer arranged to meet the aircraft. The route runs to the Riviera calendar — MIPIM in March, the Film Festival in May, the Monaco Grand Prix, Cannes Lions in June, then the long yacht-season summer.
Farnborough is the cleanest private departure point south-west of London, a dedicated business aviation airport with no airline traffic to queue behind. The interesting end of this sector is the arrival.
Cannes keeps rules that shape the flight more than the distance does. Jets over 35 tonnes are not permitted, which rules out the largest ultra-long-range types but suits everything we would sensibly place on a leg this length. Operating hours are seasonal and fixed: the field opens at 08:00 and closes between 20:00 and 22:00 depending on the time of year, and extensions are not granted. From mid-May to mid-September every IFR flight needs an airport slot and parking is on prior permission, tightest around the big event weeks.
A super-light jet is the right tool. The PC-24, Phenom 300 / 300E and Citation CJ3+ all handle the 1,610-metre runway comfortably and carry six to eight passengers with holiday baggage. During the Film Festival and the Grand Prix the constraint is rarely the aircraft — it is the slot and the parking stand, so we request both the moment a booking is confirmed.
When a schedule runs later than Cannes allows, the answer is Nice Côte d’Azur, which takes arrivals into the night and every aircraft class, with a car transfer of around forty minutes to Cannes. We would rather move the airport than compromise the plan. In season we like a few days’ notice, and more around the event weeks, when slots and stands go first.

Frequently asked
From around €13,000 one-way for the whole aircraft in the super-light class. Positioning, handling at both ends, catering and seasonal demand shape the final figure, and we itemise it before you confirm.
About an hour and forty minutes block time for the 559-nautical-mile leg from Farnborough to Cannes-Mandelieu.
The airport enforces a 35-tonne weight limit on jets, so the largest ultra-long-range types must use Nice. For this leg we most often arrange a Pilatus PC-24, an Embraer Phenom 300 / 300E or a Cessna Citation CJ3+, all comfortable on the 1,610-metre runway.
Cannes-Mandelieu closes between 20:00 and 22:00 depending on the season and grants no extensions. For later arrivals we land at Nice Côte d'Azur instead and arrange a car for the roughly forty-minute transfer to Cannes.
From mid-May to mid-September every IFR flight needs an airport slot and parking is on prior permission. We file both as soon as the booking is confirmed; around the Film Festival, the Monaco Grand Prix and Cannes Lions, booking days to weeks ahead is the realistic standard.
