Private jet to Corsica
Corsica has four airports that take private jets, and in July the difference between them is the difference between a ten-minute drive to your villa and an hour on mountain roads behind a camper van. This guide covers the four fields, what flights cost in 2026, how the summer slot system at Figari actually works, and the French passenger tax that most quotes only reveal at the end.
We are a charter brokerage. We arrange aircraft through certified operators; we do not operate them ourselves. The figures below are indicative 2026 planning numbers in euros. For a fixed quote on your dates, tell us the trip.
Which airport for which Corsica
The island is bigger than it looks from a deck chair. Pick the airport by where you sleep, not by the map’s midpoint.
| Airport | Code | Runway | Serves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Figari Sud-Corse | LFKF / FSC | 2,480 m asphalt | Porto-Vecchio (25 min), Bonifacio, the southern coast |
| Ajaccio Napoleon Bonaparte | LFKJ / AJA | 2,407 m | Ajaccio (5 km), the west coast |
| Bastia Poretta | LFKB / BIA | 2,520 m | Bastia (17 km), Cap Corse, the eastern plain |
| Calvi Sainte-Catherine | LFKC / CLY | 2,310 m concrete | Calvi (7 km), L’Île-Rousse, the Balagne |
Figari is the busiest business-aviation field on the island and the right answer for the Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio scene. All four runways take light and midsize jets comfortably; heavier aircraft are a case-by-case conversation with the operator, which we handle. Bastia has the longest runway and the calmest summer. Calvi added a dedicated business-aviation apron with eight stands, useful when the Balagne is the point of the trip.
Flight times and 2026 prices
One-way, whole aircraft, indicative for the season. Light jet unless noted.
| From | Time | Indicative from |
|---|---|---|
| Nice | 35 to 45 min | €4,400 |
| Paris | 1 h 38 | €13,000 |
| Geneva | 1 h to 1 h 20 | €7,800 (very light) to €15,300 (midsize) |
| Milan | under 1 h | €5,500 |
| London | about 2 h | €14,000 to €24,000 |
| Warsaw | 2 h 20 | on request |
The Paris lane is one we quote daily; the full breakdown is on our Paris to Figari route page. There is no scheduled nonstop between Poland and Corsica in any season, so from Warsaw the charter comparison is not against business class. It is against a full day of connections.
How summer at Figari actually works
From late March to late October Figari operates as a slot-coordinated airport (COHOR Level 3). In practice, for a private flight in July and August this means four things.
- Your arrival and departure need a slot, and slots exist between 06:45 and 22:59 local. There are no night slots. Plan dinner in Bonifacio around that.
- Overnight parking in peak season is effectively unavailable. The standard pattern is drop-and-go: the aircraft lands, unloads, and repositions to Ajaccio or the mainland.
- Parking, where possible at all, needs its own request at least 24 hours ahead, separate from the slot.
- Non-Schengen departures are spaced at least 45 minutes apart, which matters if you are continuing to London.
None of this should reach you as friction. A broker requests the slots, arranges the repositioning, and prices the whole shape into the quote up front. It is the reason a July quote to Figari from two brokers can differ by thousands: one of them priced the repositioning, one of them will discover it later. Handling at Figari is through Scala Executive or the airport’s own service, both of which we book routinely.
The tax line on your quote
Since 1 March 2025 France levies a solidarity tax (TSBA) on every passenger departing French soil by business aircraft: €420 to €2,100 per passenger on jets depending on distance band, €210 to €1,025 on turboprops. Corsica is French soil, so your return leg is a French departure and carries it too. On a family of five returning Figari to London on a jet, that line alone is over €2,000. We show it itemised; a quote that does not is not cheaper, it is incomplete.
Empty legs to and from Corsica
The drop-and-go pattern above has a useful side effect: all summer long, aircraft reposition empty between Corsica, Nice and Ajaccio. Those legs are sold at a discount when the timing works. They are scarce, they expire within hours, and they cluster on weekends. We run an alert desk that emails you when one is released on your lane, which beats refreshing a listings page in August.
The last mile
Corsican roads are scenic and slow. From Figari, Porto-Vecchio is about 25 minutes by car and Bonifacio about the same in the other direction; budget more in August. Two helicopter operators cover the island year-round, Corse Hélicoptère and HeliSud Corse, with transfers from roughly €2,820 per flight hour, and Porto-Vecchio has its own helistation for direct villa or marina arrivals. If the trip ends on a yacht, we coordinate the tender time with the crew so the car meets the aircraft and the boat meets the car.
Off-season Corsica
The island does not close in October. Winter service is thinner and the light is better, hotels reopen in spring earlier each year, and airport constraints disappear almost entirely: no slot coordination, parking available, short notice workable. If your Corsica is walking Bonifacio’s citadel without a crowd, February is underrated and the aircraft costs less to park.
Pets and non-EU arrivals
Corsica is France and Schengen, so arrivals from the EU are domestic in character. Two practicalities from outside the EU: customs presence varies by airport and season, and France’s designated entry points for pets travelling from outside the EU are mainland airports (Paris, Nice, Marseille, Lyon). Flying from London with a dog usually means a short stop at Nice first. We plan that leg into the routing rather than letting it surprise you at handling.
Corsica rewards the traveller who lands close and lands early. Send us the dates and the address of the villa or the berth, and we will come back with the airport, the aircraft and an itemised price, usually within a few hours. Request a quote or read what charter costs first.
