At a glance
London to Venice by private jet takes about an hour and fifty minutes, Farnborough to Venice Marco Polo, from around €13,000 one-way for the whole aircraft. For the 626-nautical-mile leg a super-light jet is right-sized — most often a Pilatus PC-24, an Embraer Phenom 300 / 300E or a Cessna Citation CJ4. Marco Polo's private terminal has its own boat dock, so the journey ends the way Venice should: you step from the aircraft to a water taxi and reach St Mark's in about half an hour. We arrange the permission, handling and the boat as one itinerary.

The route
About this route
London to Venice in 1h 51m.
Venice runs from spring to autumn with sharp event peaks: the Film Festival in late August and early September, Carnival in winter, the Biennale across its long season. Weekends carry couples and small parties; the festival weeks bring film, fashion and their entourages, and those are the weeks to book early.
We depart from Farnborough, a dedicated business aviation airport with no scheduled traffic — the London end of the trip takes minutes.
Marco Polo does things its own way. There is no slot coordination for private flights; instead every arrival needs prior permission, arranged through the handler, and we file it at booking — 24 to 48 hours is the practical minimum. The permission is tied to parking, which is the real constraint: from mid-May to late October ground time is capped at 24 hours, so for stays the aircraft drops you and repositions, typically to Treviso, and returns for the pickup. The dedicated GA terminal is open six in the morning to ten at night, with overtime available if it is arranged ahead, and Italy’s border formalities clear right there — no main-terminal transit.
Then the part no other city offers. The private boat terminal sits beside the GA terminal, and a water taxi covers the lagoon to central Venice in roughly thirty minutes. It is faster than the road and bridge, and a better arrival. We book the boat to meet the aircraft, matched to your hotel’s landing stage.
A few days’ notice suits this route; for the Film Festival and Carnival, when parking rules tighten further, a week or more is wise. Outside the peaks it is a straightforward trip to arrange.

Farnborough and Venice Marco Polo, the only Venice airport realistically serving business aviation. Private flights use the dedicated GA terminal with border formalities on site, and the private boat dock sits directly beside it.
A super-light jet — typically a Pilatus PC-24, an Embraer Phenom 300 / 300E or a Cessna Citation CJ4 — flies the leg nonstop for six or seven passengers. For larger parties we arrange a midsize cabin.
Marco Polo requires prior permission for every private arrival, so 24 to 48 hours is the practical minimum. In summer parking is capped at 24 hours and the aircraft repositions for longer stays; for the Film Festival or Carnival, book a week or more ahead.
